Quitting now waits for the runtime to stop, so closing the app no longer leaves an engine running behind it. When the connection to the runtime is interrupted, the log records what the runtime said before it died, bounded and redacted, instead of repeating the same line. Work interrupted by a stale hold recovers the progress it had already verified rather than replaying it, failures report the kind of failure they were, long commands in the persistent shell can be given more than the fixed five minutes, and vendored dependencies are checked against the licences the build actually ships.
